My client is one of the world’s leading Naval shipbuilders, Delivering world class solutions in the Design and Build of advanced Warships, Supplying the Royal Naval along with many other Navies throughout the world, They are now looking for a Acoustic Range Supervisor to be based in Saudi Arabia, You will be responsible for the day to day delegation and supervision of Range technicians.
This vacancy potentially presents itself as an exciting opportunity for an Ex Royal Navy Senior rate, However, Applications from all suitable candidates, Ex military or not, Will be considered.

Responsibilities:
- To control the implementation of: magnetic and acoustic ranging for RSNF ships; the magnetic ranging of materials and components prior to storage in the Low Magnetic Store, and/or fitting to RSNF Al Jawf Class Minehunters.
- The implementation of harbour entrance and open sea ranging; implementation of RCMDS Vehicle Ranging on Al Jawf Class Minehunters.
- Maintain control and discipline over subordinates at work to ensure acceptable levels and standards of behaviour and performance are achieved.
- To keep Electrical Division work shop head informed of work progress and any forseen problems affecting ranges performance or progress
- To work with QA personnel in ensuring implementation of document control and regulation procedures in all work and storage areas and ensure safe and secure storage of range data.
- To ensure that adequate staff training is provided throughout the Ranges section, informing the work shop head of all training requirements.
- To comply with all RSNF directives and Safety procedures.
- To observe confidentiality of RSNF data at all times.
- To undertake all other duties as assigned on Al Jawf Class Minehunters.
Applicant Requirements:
- HNC or ONC or equivalent appropriate professional qualification, or a combination of training and experience which provides an equivalent educational standard.
- A sound knowledge of the principles of Magnetic ranging, Signature ranges, Ship degaussing concepts and acoustic silencing is essential.
- Familiar with Royal Navy platforms and systems.
- Valid full driving licence
- Proven experience is Ship hull magnetic and acoustic signatures.
