Our client specialices in providing Security Systems solutions and products to a wide range of industries in the UK.
Due to continous success and growth of their business they are currently looking for an experienced Project Design Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.
The key objectives of the role are to;
1)Develop Integrated Security System designs to meet the requirement of the project specification and in accordance with the contract.
2)Ensure full implementation of the Clients Quality Assurance and Audit procedure throughout all sectional phases of the project.
3)Oversee subcontract and supplier design submissions to ensure full compliance with the contract specification and requirements.
4)Provide technical input to enable all system and layout drawings to be produced by the project CAD Engineer.
5)Lead the design approval process and take ownership of client technical agreement and sign off.
6)Lead and agree the process to demonstrate fit "for purpose" and compliance of design.
Application Experience Required;
1)Microsoft Visio
2)Auto CAD - not essential but preferred
3)Microsoft Project
4)Microsoft Office Suit
5)Security Systems
Experience
* Design of large, multi-discipline, integrated security systems.
* Has the ability to interpret client's technical documentation and develop functional specifications for the overall solution.
* Proven ability to professionally document, illustrate and present detailed security system design specifications.
* Good organisational skills, Experience of working within operations teams, able to plan ahead and communicate well with the team, Suppliers and customers.
* Demonstrable ability to over see supplier design activities, verify and integrate design information from external sources.
* Ability to interpret a performance based specification, to develop to a working design
* Able to communicate at all levels with internal and external team members.
